ਮੰਡੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਸਦ ਮੈਂਬਰ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਲਮ ਅਭਿਨੇਤਰੀ Kangana Ranaut ਦੀ ਨਵੀਂ ਫਿਲਮ ‘Emergency’ ਨੂੰ MP Sarabjit Singh Khalsa ਦੇ ਸਖ਼ਤ ਇਤਰਾਜ਼ ਕਾਰਨ ਵਿਵਾਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਮਣਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ। ਉਸ ਦਾ ਦਾਅਵਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਫਿਲਮ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਲਤ ਤਰੀਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਤਰ ਲਿਖ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਰਿਲੀਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਅਪੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
Sarabjit Khalsa ਨੇ ਫਿਲਮ ‘Emergency’ ‘ਚ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਵੀ ਗਲਤ ਪੇਸ਼ਕਾਰੀ ‘ਤੇ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਜ਼ਾਹਰ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਚੇਤਾਵਨੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਅਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਝਾਅ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਫਿਲਮ ‘ਚ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਖਵਾਦੀ ਜਾਂ ਦਹਿਸ਼ਤਗਰਦ ਵਜੋਂ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰਨਾ ਇੱਕ ਸੋਚੀ ਸਮਝੀ ਸਾਜ਼ਿਸ਼ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ। ਖਾਲਸਾ ਨੇ ਫਿਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੋਵਿਗਿਆਨਕ ਹਮਲਾ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਦੂਜੇ ਭਾਈਚਾਰਿਆਂ ‘ਚ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਨਫ਼ਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਖਲ ਦੇਣ ਅਤੇ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਚਿੱਤਰਣ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਮੰਗ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਸਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਨੋਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਨਫ਼ਰਤੀ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਅਕਸਰ ਰਿਪੋਰਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਫਿਲਮ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣੀ ਨੂੰ ਵਧਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਸਿੱਖਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੀਆਂ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀਆਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਹਨ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਸਹੀ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ ਪੇਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ, ਜਦਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਕਸ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਲਾਉਣ ਦੀਆਂ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ਾਂ ਕੀਤੀਆਂ ਜਾ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਇਲਾਵਾ ਉਸਨੇ ਸਮਾਜਿਕ ਸਦਭਾਵਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਵਸਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਰਾਰ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਅਪਮਾਨਜਨਕ ਫਿਲਮਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਗੀਤਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਪਾਬੰਦੀ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਵਕਾਲਤ ਕੀਤੀ। ਅਮਨ-ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਏਕਤਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਰੱਖਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਮਰਪਣ ’ਤੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਦਿੰਦਿਆਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੰਕਲਪ ਦੀ ਪੁਸ਼ਟੀ ਕੀਤੀ।

Mandi MP and film actress Kangana Ranaut’s new film ‘Emergency’ may face controversy due to strong objection from MP Sarabjit Singh Khalsa. He claims that the film misrepresents Sikhs and has written to the central government urging it to stop its release.
Sarabjit Khalsa expressed concern over the possible misrepresentation of Sikhs in the film ‘Emergency’ and warned that it could lead to social unrest. He suggested that portraying Sikhs as separatists or terrorists in the film would be a deliberate plot. The Khalsa has described the film as a psychological attack aimed at promoting hatred towards Sikhs in other communities and demanded the government to intervene and stop such depictions.
He also noted that hate crimes against Sikhs are frequently reported in the country, and that the film could fuel hostility towards them. He said that the Sikhs have made great sacrifices for the country, which have not been properly presented in films, while attempts are being made to demolish their image.
He further advocated the banning of offensive films or songs to maintain social harmony and order. Emphasizing their dedication to maintaining peace and unity, they reaffirmed their resolve to curb anti-social activities.
