ਇਸ ਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਆਮ ਬਜਟ ਕੰਮਕਾਜੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਰਾਹਤ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਤਣਾਅ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਵਧਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਵਿੱਤ ਮੰਤਰੀ Nirmala Sitharaman ਨੇ ਨਵੀਂ Tax Regime ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲਾਅ ਦਾ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਹੁਣ 3 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਕਮਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ Tax ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ ਪਰ ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸਾਲਾਨਾ ਆਮਦਨ 3 ਲੱਖ ਤੋਂ 7 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ 5% Tax ਦੇਣਾ ਪੈ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਆਮਦਨ 10 ਤੋਂ 12 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ Tax ਦੇਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ, ਇਸ ‘ਤੇ 15 % Tax ਦੇਣਾ ਪਵੇਗਾ। ਇਕ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਦੇਸ਼ ਹੈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਇਕੱਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ Tax ਦੇਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ‘Bachelor Tax’ ਕਿਹਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਦੁਨੀਆ ‘ਚ ਕਈ ਅਜਿਹੇ ਲੋਕ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਅਕਸਰ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵਿਆਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ, ਉਹ Bachelor ਹੀ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ America ਦੇ ਸੂਬੇ Missouri ‘ਚ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਹੀ ਕੋਈ Bachelor ਅਜਿਹਾ ਸੋਚੇਗਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਇੱਥੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ Bachelor ਨੂੰ ਵੀ Tax ਦੇਣਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਇਹ ਅਜੀਬੋ-ਗਰੀਬ Tax ਪਹਿਲੀ ਵਾਰ 203 ਸਾਲ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ 1820 ‘ਚ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਇਸ ਦੀ ਵਰਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ। ਮੀਡੀਆ ਰਿਪੋਰਟਾਂ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ 21 ਤੋਂ 50 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਦੇ ਅਣਵਿਆਹੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਸਾਲ ਇਕ ਡਾਲਰ ਯਾਨੀ ਲਗਭਗ 83 ਰੁਪਏ ਟੈਕਸ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਇਹ ਅਜੀਬੋ-ਗਰੀਬ ਟੈਕਸ ਜਰਮਨੀ, ਇਟਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਦੱਖਣੀ ਅਫਰੀਕਾ ਵਰਗੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਹੋਰ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ‘ਚ ਲਾਗੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਈ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ‘ਚ ਇਹ Tax ਸੇਵਾ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
ਅਜਿਹੇ ਕਈ ਅਜੀਬੋ-ਗਰੀਬ Tax ਹਨ, ਜੋ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਲਗਾਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਬਹੁਤ ਸਮਾਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੈ ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ‘Hat Tax’ ਵੀ ਅਦਾ ਕਰਨਾ ਪੈਂਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਟੈਕਸ ਬ੍ਰਿਟਿਸ਼ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਨੇ 1784 ਤੋਂ 1811 ਦਰਮਿਆਨ ਮਰਦਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਲਗਾਇਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਇਹ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਮਹਿੰਗੀਆਂ ਟੋਪੀਆਂ ਹੁੰਦੀਆਂ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਮੀਰ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਜਦੋਂ ਕਿ ਗਰੀਬ ਵਰਗ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਇੱਕ ਟੋਪੀ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ ਜਾਂ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਸੀ।
ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਮੀਰਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਦੌਲਤ ਦੇ ਆਧਾਰ ‘ਤੇ Tax ਵਸੂਲਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ। America ਦੇ Maryland ‘ਚ Toilet Flush ‘ਤੇ ਵੀ Tax ਲਗਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਅਜਿਹਾ ਇੱਥੇ ਪਾਣੀ ਦੀ ਖਪਤ ਨੂੰ ਕੰਟਰੋਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਇੱਥੇ ਹਰ ਮਹੀਨੇ 5 ਡਾਲਰ ਯਾਨੀ ਕਿ ਕਰੀਬ 418 ਰੁਪਏ Toilet Flush Tax ਵਜੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਪੈਸਾ ਸੀਵਰੇਜ ਸਿਸਟਮ ਦੇ ਸੁਧਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਕਾਸ ਲਈ ਵਰਤਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

Now people earning 3 lakh rupees annually will not have to pay tax but if your annual income is between 3 lakh to 7 lakh rupees then you may have to pay 5% tax.
If your income is 10 to 12 lakh rupees then you have to pay tax. 15% tax has to be paid on it. There is a country where even single people have to pay tax, which is called ‘Bachelor Tax’. There are many people in the world who often say that they don’t want to get married, they want to be a bachelor, but in the American state of Missouri hardly any bachelor will think so because the bachelor living here also has to pay tax.
This strange tax was first imposed 203 years ago in 1820 and has been used ever since. According to media reports, unmarried people between the ages of 21 and 50 have to pay a tax of one dollar or about 83 rupees every year. Although this strange tax was implemented in many other countries including countries like Germany, Italy and South Africa, but this tax service has ended in many of these countries.
There are many such strange taxes, which were imposed on people earlier, but now they have been abolished. It was a long time ago when people also had to pay ‘Hat Tax’. This tax was imposed on men by the British government between 1784 and 1811. The idea behind this was that people who owned many expensive hats were considered wealthy, while those from the poorer classes had either only one hat or none at all.
Therefore, tax was collected from the rich on the basis of their wealth. Tax has also been imposed on toilet flush in Maryland of America. This has been done here to control water consumption. Here every month 5 dollars i.e. about 418 rupees are collected from people as Toilet Flush Tax and this money is used for improvement and development of sewage system.
